For anyone familiar with decorative hardware and it’s limitations, this new product is a life saver!  Canadian Drapery Hardware’s Sahara Mechanical comes in 5 great colours (burnt gold, black, old gold, oil rubbed bronze and pewter (above)) and is great for ripplefold or all types of pleated drapery.  This product can be wall mounted but is really amazing in applications where a close to flush ceiling mount is required.  Take, for example, in my dining room at home.  The ceilings are only 8 feet high and there is a 10″ bulkhead that runs the width of the window wall.  I really want decorative hardware here to compliment the pewter detailing on my light fixtures but the old style of ceiling mount bracket that drops down 3″ just won’t do (see photo below).

Sahara mechanical also offers the ringless look which we have been having more requests for lately.  This new hardware is efficient, relatively user-friendly and very well priced.  In the ceiling mount you can only have an end cap but it keeps with the contemporary feel.  Notice how it only drops down from the ceiling by 1/4″.  This is a great new addition to what we can offer our clients and it also comes with elbows for bay windows and works well for double treatments!  What more can you ask for?!
